What does the South mean to you?

This question was circulating in the heart of the sweet and happy celebration during this 36th edition of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories at the villa Noailles.

Once again postponed to autumn this year due to the pandemic, the 36th Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories vibrated to the Indian summer colours of this mid-October weekend in the former summer residence of Marie-Laure de Noailles copiously decorated with flowers and in the warehouse hosting the fashion shows in the Salin des Pesquiers (Pesquiers salt marsh).

Among the festival-goers, the artists and the juries -chaired this year by Dominique Issermann (photography section), Lacoste’s creative director Louise Trotter (fashion section) and Christian Louboutin (Accessories) - the spirit, the taste and the feeling of the “South” swirled in the gardens, the roofs and terraces of the residence by Mallet-Stevens… Among surprise concerts, film screenings, professional encounters, and presentations of the works by the finalists of the three competitions, they, from here and elsewhere, answered straightaway to the question “what is the South”?
