Plein Sud, 71 venues united by the passion for contemporary art and rooted in the same territory, from Sérignan to Monaco

Plein Sud was born in the spring of 2020 from the desire of Southern France’s main stakeholders of the visual arts to unite, in order to promote the outstanding and flourishing contemporary art offer on their territory. This new dynamic map of this Grand Sud arch reflects the sense of unity and the vocation to promote and to share the contemporary creation of 71 contemporary visual arts venues located all along the Mediterranean coastline from Sérignan-Sète to Nice-Monaco.

In keeping with the Plein Sud 2021 guide and its calendar of exhibitions from July to October 2021, this new digital media invites all the audiences to immerse into the contemporary art experience and to criss-cross our French California through multiple artistic itineraries, heritage sites and preserved landscapes throughout the year.

A cultural road trip to meet the artists and their works, as well as diverse venues with outstanding heritage, in the heart of big cities (Avignon, Arles, Nîmes, Montpellier, Aix, Marseille or Nice), villages and legendary harbours (Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Toulon-Hyères, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Vallauris…), in Provence verte (Flassans, Cavaillon, Le Muy…), in the mountain (Digne-les-Bains, Embrun) or on the islands (Porquerolles).
