What does blue reveal in contemporary African art and its diasporas? Afroblue brings together 38 artists who express their memories, dreams, and stories through the colour blue. Explored as a living material, between sky and sea, blue bodies, ancient gestures, and contemporary forms, blue composes a poetic journey to describe today's world.

Ghita Skali, an artist from Casablanca based in Amsterdam. Her multidisciplinary practice includes installations, videos, and interventions. She draws on strange news items, rumours, and historical facts to disrupt institutional power structures. Her work blends humour and critique, resulting in projects that circulate beyond exhibition spaces, through alternative merchandise trade, (il)legal documents, and objects one takes home.

The Collection Lambert renews its longstanding commitment to women artists by turning its gaze toward the Near, Middle and Far East. Kim Gordon takes over all the basement galleries of the Hôtel de Montfaucon to present a large selection of works from the past ten years, including several previously unseen pieces. Conceived as a total installation, the ensemble of paintings, watercolors, sculptures, and videos reflects on the place of individuals in a world governed by technological fetishism and the glorification of the commodity-object, where the political and the intimate are inextricably intertwined, and where the body emerges as a site of tension and resistance.

Hopla Studio offers a joyful immersion where landscape becomes ritual and art celebrates the fertility of the living world. Vanina Langer and Magali Wehrung combine visual arts, textiles, ceramics, and culinary creations to reactivate a nourishing and protective bond with nature. Goddess-like sculptures, edible adornments, and large textile compositions weave a baroque universe where joy becomes a political act.

Arnaud Eubelen collects discarded items from the streets of Brussels and other cities and uses them to create furniture with an artistic flair: tables, chairs, armchairs, lamps, as well as objects whose utilitarian purpose remains ambiguous. As a designer caught between two worlds, Eubelen has developed a distinctive style: his furniture has a "low-tech" and retrofuturistic feel. His fascination with discarded objects and the raw aesthetic, in turn, stems from Liège, the city where he grew up and whose history is shaped by coal mines and heavy industry.

The exhibition is accompanied by a curated selection of jewellery, music, artist books, prints and other works by Caroline Mesquita, Caroline Van Hoek, La Digue Records, Livres Rares AZADE LLIBRE, Delpire & Co and Ateliers Laissez-Passer.

La Traverse invites the nomadic bookshop AZADE LLIBRE to present SHELF FICTION: a curated selection of rare books in dialogue with Arnaud Eubelen's exhibition The Practice of Everyday Life.

AZADE LLIBRE [ɑ.zɑ.dɛ ʎí.βɾə] – from the Kurdish azad and the Catalan llibre – is a curatorial project devoted to artists' books and rare editions, a nomadic bookshop that adapts to each collaboration to offer a unique, tailor-made bibliography. For this invitation, SHELF FICTION brings together an exclusive selection of works exploring the theme of autofiction as prompted by the immediate visual environment, both symbolic and material.

Between the end of June and the middle of July 1831, underwater volcanic activity gave rise to a new island in the Mediterranean, in the Sicilian Channel across from Tunisia. While sailors and coastal dwellers feared the awakening of a sea monster, the nascent land aroused the curiosity of scientists and the desire of European powers amid their colonial expansion.

Through films, videos and photographs, Clément Cogitore – an artist with a philosophical approach – speculates on the emergence, collapse, and possible re-emergence of the volcano. Blending documentary and fiction, his metaphorical intuition weaves together premonitions, popular beliefs, archival documents, as well as scientific and cartographic records: in his hands, “Ferdinandea” becomes a mirror reflecting different relationships to the world and possible futures.

This 8th edition of the “De leur temps” Triennial gathers more than 130 works from 70 French and international private collections, spanning painting, video, sculpture, performance and installation. Since 2004, the Triennial has highlighted committed collectors and reflected contemporary sensibilities.

This edition questions the climate amid ecological, political, and social upheavals, presenting the collection as a living ecosystem and inviting reflection on memory, preservation, and transformation.

Following its presentation at the Centre Pompidou in 2023–2024, the exceptional donation made by Marc Chagall’s granddaughters, Meret and Bella Meyer — entered into the collections of the Musée national d’art moderne in 2022-2023 — is exhibited at the Musée national Marc Chagall in 2026.

The 141 donated works bear witness to the richness and diversity of Marc Chagall’s creative output. The ensemble brings together, on the one hand, forty-one sketches and maquettes produced for the ceiling of the Opéra de Paris, inaugurated in 1964. On the other hand, it includes sixty-four sketches for stage curtains and costumes designed for the ballet The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky, revived by the Ballet Theatre of New York in 1945 with choreography by Adolph Bolm. Finally, twelve ceramics and sculptures, along with twenty-four collages, reveal the artist’s constant curiosity for new techniques and materials, particularly evident between the 1950s and the 1970s.
