De leur temps, the Triennial of the [mac]

Is a collection a living organism? Yes, if we consider its works as an ever-evolving narrative, in dialogue with the major transformations of our time. This is the ambition behind De leur temps, the Triennial of the [mac] Marseille Museum of Contemporary Art, which reveals the vision of collectors committed to contemporary art. We hear from Stéphanie Airaud, the institution’s director, and art historian Sandra Delacourt, co-curators of the exhibition.

For its eighth edition, La vie climatique. Histoires sensibles des collections privées brings together more than 130 works from over 70 private collections around a central question: how can we tell the story of the world at a time of ecological, political and social upheaval? Paintings, videos, sculptures and installations form a journey in which climate is understood both as an environmental reality and as an emotional, cultural and human condition.
