Musée National Pablo Picasso - La Guerre et la Paix

In the heart of the old town, the Pablo Picasso national Museum is the starting point for a walk that goes through the town, linking sites and places where Picasso lived and worked. Pablo Picasso (1881- 1973) moved to Vallauris in 1948 and chose the chapel of Vallauris for his monumental painting entitled “War and Peace” (1952), that illustrates Picasso’s commitment for peace.

Chaque jour est éternel, Awena Cozannet

Visual artist Awena Cozannet creates textile sculptures from production offcuts, recycled mountain ropes and manufactured elements. With her large, moving figures, the artist invites us to reflect on notions of displacement, perspectives and shared projects. At a time of conflict-driven migration and climate disruption, his work echoes more personal questions: with what inner baggage does each individual move forward in life?
