L’Art en montagne

The Gassendi Museum is currently closed for extension works, but its L’Art en montagne collection remains accessible.

At the heart of the Haute-Provence Geological Nature Reserve — UNESCO Global Geopark — the works from the Gassendi Museum can be discovered in the open landscape: mountains, forests, rivers, trails, and villages become the living extension of the museum.

The work developed with artists across the Digne region has formed a reference ensemble, featuring major works by Andy Goldsworthy, herman de vries, Paul-Armand Gette, Richard Nonas, Joan Fontcuberta, Mark Dion, Trevor Gould, and others.
