FAMM (Female Artists of the Mougins Museum) is the first museum in the world outside the USA to have a permanent collection dedicated to female artists. It opened in 2024 in the historic village of Mougins at the initiative of art collector Christian Levett. A selection of some 100 works from the Levett Collection is on display at the museum. Featuring 90 artists from around the world, it includes works by Berthe Morisot, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, Alice Neel, Marina Abramović, Frida Kahlo, Tracey Emin and Sarah Lucas. The display revisits art history through the lens of women artists, from Impressionism to contemporary art.

FAMM : The collection

While we await the temporary exhibitions programme, visitors can explore a curated selection from the museum’s permanent collection, spanning key artistic movements from Impressionism to contemporary art. Nearly 100 works from the Levett Collection are on display, all created by female artists from around the world. Among them, Berthe Morisot, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, Alice Neel, Marina Abramović, Frida Kahlo, Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas.
