The exhibition bears witness to the universality of ghosts across civilisations, but also to the great variety of ways in which they have been represented over time and space. Nearly 300 objects, from archaeological finds to contemporary creations, illustrate this diversity from around the world, thanks to the participation of more than 50 museums and collections, including the Musée d'Orsay, the Musée d'Archéologie de Marseille, MACVAL, CNAP, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Hamburger Kunsthalle and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal.
